SAMSON AGRO expands its offering with new trailing shoe booms developed in collaboration with Vogelsang

With the launch of the new TSB2-S and TSB2-C, SAMSON AGRO is expanding its range of trailing shoe booms with a new lightweight platform for the SAMSON and PICHON brands. Developed in collaboration with Vogelsang, these new solutions combine low weight, compact transport dimensions and precise application.

A new lightweight platform offering greater equipment possibilities

Requirements for precise slurry application continue to increase. At the same time, implement weight remains a limiting factor for many farmers, machinery cooperatives and contractors.

To address this challenge, SAMSON AGRO and Vogelsang have combined their expertise to develop a new generation of lighter trailing shoe booms. This design makes it possible to equip smaller-capacity slurry tankers without exceeding permitted drawbar loads or reducing payload during road transport.

The new range therefore complements the existing offering between the TSB1 trailing shoe boom and the premium TSB2 model, providing a professional solution for the intermediate segment.

Two complementary versions: Slim and Compact

The new platform is available in two configurations.

The TSB2-S, standing for “Slim”, is available with a working width of 12 metres. Its optimised design and rear frame make it the lightest version in the range, with a weight of 1,325 kg. It is particularly well suited to compact slurry tankers.

The TSB2-C, standing for “Compact”, is available in working widths of 12, 15 and 18 metres. It maintains a transport width of less than 3 metres and can accommodate a wider range of slurry tanker configurations and capacities.

Both versions offer a flexible solution without compromising application quality.

Combining the expertise of SAMSON AGRO and Vogelsang

The new TSB2-S and TSB2-C combine Vogelsang distribution technology with trailing shoe and outlet technology developed by SAMSON AGRO.

Each boom is equipped with two vertical ECM distributors. Their compact design helps reduce weight while ensuring uniform slurry distribution. Flow rates can reach up to 5,800 l/min per distributor, depending on operating conditions.

The trailing shoes, spaced 25 cm apart, create a shallow groove at the soil surface or within the crop canopy to promote rapid slurry infiltration and precise placement of nutrients.

The booms also feature a passive ground-contouring system and stabilising wheels to maintain consistent shoe pressure across the entire working width. On the TSB2-C versions, 50/50 folding helps reduce overlaps and the risk of over- or under-application.

Designed for transport and ease of use

The ADS anti-drip system prevents slurry leakage during road transport. The booms also feature a locking system, full LED lighting and parking stands to make everyday operation easier.

“When developing this new range, our objective was to combine low weight, transport efficiency, application precision and operational reliability. Our long-standing collaboration with Vogelsang now enables us to offer a professional solution that brings together the best of our two areas of expertise,” explains Thomas Rasmussen, Head of Product Management at SAMSON AGRO.

“We are pleased to see our ExaCut technology integrated into this new generation of SAMSON and PICHON implements. Farmers and contractors will benefit from reliable maceration, precise slurry distribution and high work rates,” adds Dirk von Dohm, Product Manager Slurry Application at Vogelsang.

With the launch of the TSB2-S and TSB2-C, SAMSON AGRO and Vogelsang reaffirm their shared commitment to providing high-performance, reliable application solutions tailored to the needs of professional agriculture.

The new TSB2-C boom will be presented for the first time in France at the Sommet de l’Élevage, taking place from 6 to 9 October 2026 in Clermont-Ferrand. Visit the SAMSON / PICHON outdoor stand, E4-03.
